Questions for Clinton & Edwards

1) I am going to college so I can get a job. On the whole, pretty much all people who work hard for a higher education get a job with a benefits package that includes health insurance. Why should I and other hardworkers be paying for someone's health care if they chose not to take advantage of the opportunities that American capitalism has to offer them?

2) I eat reasonably healthy and choose to work out several times each week. Obesity is a choice that people make for themselves by not practicing good health. Why should I and others who live a healthy life style be forced to pay for health problems that come in association with obesity?

3) I choose not to smoke cigarettes. Therefore, chances are, I will not develop lung cancer in my lifetime because of a responsible choice that I made. Why should I and others who do not smoke be forced to pay for healthcare treatment for someone who has lung cancer because they chose to smoke 3 packs of cigarettes each day?

1) There are people with different opportunities who can't attend a fancy college like you and study psychology, and who can't get a job because the environment they were raised in radically altered their life opportunities.

2) There are people who suffer from obesity because there is something physically wrong with something in their body and has nothing to do with what health decisions they choose to make.

3) A lot of people get lung cancer without ever smoking.

Don't bitch about things that are situational. Just bitch because you don't want to pay in general.

We are know fortune tellers, so we cannot know what the future holds for us and our health. Therefore, we have to have a health care plan for each individual.

I see what you are getting at with obesity and lung cancer, however, how far do you want to take it? Some people have a history of certain cancers and diseases whether you smoke and eat fast food every day or not.

I think that we are all human beings, all Americans. Nobody is any better than the next person. Nobody's life is more important than the next person's.

Jeffrey,s omeone can go to community college. I am against almost anything that the government provides but I do like the concept of community college because it allows people who started off on the wrong foot to get themselves back on track. People are too lazy and their suffering is their problem. At some point, you have to take responsibility for yourself. The government/taxpayers cannot hold someone's hand through their entire life just because they had a rough start.

My point with the obesity & lung cancer is that people make bad choices that, under Hillarycare, the taxpayers are left to foot the bill for. I understand that people are prone to health problems due to family history, and really, that sucks, but does it mean I should have to pay for them? Not in my book.
